Creative Director & Art Entrepeneur

Multilingual, versatile audio-visual storyteller and art entrepeneur with over a decade of international experience creating cinematic work across film, photography, and social media. Nicolás is a creative director, professional photographer, cinematographer, art director, scriptwriter, video-editor, social media content creator, trained performer and model who combines literature principles to build stories that audiences remember. He also has work in the music industry as an event director, exhibition curator and music manager.

His style is defined by the cinematic grandeur and emotional depth of film. His versatility across discilines and artistic areas is obtained through a long journey of artistic work. His main goal: to connect an audience with an artistic product. Whether working in commerical, editorial, journalistic, beauty or fashion, Nicolás seeks to create pieces and moments that feel memorable and emotionally alive. He directs every team to be creative, original, and innovative. His taste repells clichés, vague concepts, unintentional work and awful outcomes generated by a poor use of AI. Nicolás also drives deep into invisible marketing as his publicity operation sells products and services in a way that the audience feels not there ever was a strategy.

Across disciplines, he approaches every project with passion, narrative quality, teamwork, loyalty to the identity of each brand and respect for professional standards and audience expectations.

STORY

Nicolás began his journey at 16 years-of-age while volunteering in underserved, marginalized communities in Colombia. He bought his first camera the day he journied with Fundación Jeronimo Emiliani for the first time. Working alonside children, mothers, animals and folks undergoing inhuman conditions, he discovered that storytelling and photography were a powerful tool for empathy, change, and human connection. In that moment, someone who desired to become a politician learnt that telling stories was far more effective at improving civilization.

His academic education spanned in three countries. Art Direction for Audiovisual Productions course at Zona Cinco Escuela de Cine y Fotografia. Then Literature in the Studienkolleg der Universität Heidelberg. Rejected for Cinematography at the Babelsberg Universität Berlin, he had no other choice to pursue Political Sciences and Philosophy in the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. He resulted pursuing an Associate in Film Production at Broward College in South Florida.

Although his academic background shaped his international perspective, it was his personal work and guidance of mentors that forged his career. In Bogotá, he worked as an assistant for photographer Rafael Manosalva, creative psychologist Maria Caro Feliz, and art director Angelica Zarur. He was a pupil to Herr Christ and Herr Krummer, professors of Linguistics and Literature in Heidelberg who brought his interest into not only writing but also playwright and theater-acting as extracurricular activities. In South Florida, where his professional career took off, he’d performed several full-time jobs with and for fashion designer Lis Castello at Lis Castello Designs, art curator Juliana Forero at Coral Springs MoA, gallery manager Felisa Prieto at Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department, restaurant owner Gabriel Cambaklean at La Rural Argentine Steakhouse, fitness influencer Ashton Hall, and med-spa owner Jacob Sanchez as a creative & commercial director of GET REFRESHED. His expertise was not only limited to technique and books, but also business, advertisement, fine arts, story architecture and performative arts. His experience spans around clothing brands, restaurants, cosmetic clinics, tequila businesses, collaborations with Latino personal brands with millions of followers, into reaching hundreds of millions of views constantly, and achieving giant inbound DMs and successful lead-management that converted audiences into buying clientele.

The music industry became another defining chapter in Nicolás’ profession, connecting him with collaborators who shared his commitment for community, storytelling, and artistic innovation. The music industry is the arena that opened doors for him. Believing that creativity and success thrives through teamwork, he’s been working alongside artists, entrepeneurs and cultural leaders to strenghten South Florida’s creative ecosystem

Together with urban-performer Tyan Pa and entrepeneur Ricardo Souquet, Bruce co-founded 954 The New Miami, a multidisciplinary movement dedicating to connecting emerging artists with audiences.
